   "Of course I can never get a close parking spot…" you trailed off in a tired tone, parking your car on the side of the street. Today you had to wake up extra early, and not being a morning person you were in a not so chipper mood. Later in the day you had a regular check-up with your doctor, and being the owner of a Bakery you had finally found some time to squeeze one in. You were fortunate to say your business was a success, but also unfortunate to say that left you busy and under a lot of stress. Especially when it came to the holidays.
   You grimaced at the thought as you stepped out of your car. You gave a little noise in response to the cold air that rushed around you, with it becoming fall the air had become to get slightly chilly. The only thing you were wearing right now was your pure white chef coat, the sleeves rolled up to your elbows, matching pants, and your (f/c) converse. You praised yourself though as you remembered to wear a tank-top underneath the coat, giving you some protection to the cold. Not being at your job you still had you (hair length), (wavy/curly/straight) hair down which was a rare occurrence. The past few weeks all you've been doing is baking since Halloween was right around the corner; one day you even started to hyperventilate and were on the verge of a panic attack. Too many people yelling at you plus your machines not working did not equal good things. Fortunately your best friend was there to 'save' you. You chuckled at the memory.
   You hugged yourself as you made your way down the street, spotting your favorite café. You don't know how they did it, but they managed to balance all of their flavors while giving you the boost you needed all at the same time. To make it simple their coffee was amazing. Still tired you stifled a yawn, about to make your way over to the door. As you walked you didn't notice how you got pushed over to the edge of the sidewalk near the street, and didn't pay no mind as you started to cut through the crowd. In your foggy state of mind you also didn't pay attention to the set of rushing footsteps that happened to be heading your way. Hearing people yell in annoyance you turned to your left to see what was making all the ruckus, when all of a sudden with no warning you felt your head and elbow smack against hard asphalt.
   With a groan you cracked your eyes open, dully realizing you were roughly shoved. Your senses now fully returned your body froze with shock and fear. You were in the middle of the street and of course a car was heading straight towards you. Not knowing what to do seeing your impeding death, you gave a slight gasp as your life flashed before your eyes. Just as you thought you were about to be splattered on the road you felt a tight grip encircle your arms, quickly pulling you up. The next thing you knew you watched the car with wide, scared eyes as it drove by, just missing you as the driver glared out the window.
   "Hey, are you ok?!" someone suddenly asked, sounding panicked. You jumped a bit, remembering it was someone who had probably saved you, and looked up to see a set of worried azure eyes. Even through all that you just went through a blush came to your face as you noticed all his handsome features, including the glasses that were covering his eyes. Thinking back to what he said you didn't know how to answer. Your legs felt like jelly and the world around you looked warped. You hoped you didn't pass out.
   "I-I'm fine, I-I probably j-just need to l-lie down. Or t-throw up" you replied shakily. You took in unsteady breathes as the man moved you to the side, slowly sitting you down next to the building.
   "Are you sure? It doesn't hurt anywhere?" the man continued, and you noticed as he crouched down he started to inspect you, making you blush harder as you watched his eyes look over your body. Having a chance to sit down and notice with relief your world starting to stop spinning, making you become aware of a dull throbbing coming from your head along with your elbow. You held up the appendage only to see a large scrape on it, the blood beginning to drip down you arm. You were thankful it had yet to get on your uniform, somehow the outfit still managing to stay clean through the whole ordeal even though it was white. Immediately the man gently took your arm, inspecting it.
   "I don't want this to get infected, I have a first aid kit in my car, is there anything else I should know?" the blue eyed man said, looking up at you. Still feeling a bit woozy and wondering why it wouldn't go away your eyes widened in realization of two things. The first you noticed the man before you was a doctor, a hot one no less, (you were about to ask him to clarify), and the second you perceived you had a concussion. Great.
   "A-ah, yeah. I think I hit my head, but it's no big deal." You said trying not to worry your acquaintance. Of course your plan failed as you saw what looked like panic flash in his eyes for barely a second, and then you were hauled up to your feet.
   "I was wondering why you were looking drowsy, you probably have a concussion" he stated in a serious like-tone. You gave him a look of mild surprise.
   "You're a doctor a-aren't you? You're p-pretty good" you said as you started to walk beside the man, your hand covering the wound on your elbow. Your blush never left your face though as you felt him carefully guide you as he placed his hands on your shoulders. In response the man laughed.
   "Yup, I sure am! I never realized it was that obvious. My name is Alfred F. Jones by the way, but if you want you can call me Al or the hero!" the man obnoxiously said. You giggled from his all of a sudden care-free behavior.
   "I'm (full name), but the hero?" you asked with a puzzled look. Alfred just turned, giving you a carefree smile.
   "My patients like to call me that, it kinda stuck ahahaha!" the doctor said, laughing. You chuckled along with him. Even though you just met this man, somewhere deep down inside you a feeling grew, and you knew that today was no accident.

   ~~~OHHH LOOKS LIKE READER-CHAN HAS FINALLY MET SMEXY DOCTOR HERO! OHOHOHO~ LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS!~~~
   After having the doctor wrap your wound and disinfect it he checked your head. Luckily there was no open wound, and he said you had a slight concussion since the fogginess had still not cleared from your vision. He also made sure to tell you to visit a doctor making you laugh. He only got the joke when you told him you had a doctor's appointment today anyway. But after he was done tending to you, you couldn't just say goodbye. You offered to buy him a coffee as a thank you, trying to persuade him by saying you were going to go get one anyway. He just laughed you off, saying it was fine. He told you he had to go to work, reminding you that you were already late for yours. So with a sigh you both departed, and now with no coffee from your accident you drove to your little bakery. It's not like you really needed it though, after your little escapade you were definitely awake.
   You gave a sigh of relief seeing your building, and drove around back to park. As you drove by you cringed at seeing all the cars, knowing you were in for a busy day. Not wanting to know how pissed your co-workers might be you dashed out of the vehicle, making your way into the back of the bakery. Taking just one step inside you already knew the chaos that awaited you, the sound of a multitude of pans smashing together and yelling being a definite warning. As you ran to the noise your best friend spotted you with a glare.
   "And where the hell have you been? You look like shit!" she yelled over the ruckus of the kitchen. You smiled at her straightforwardness.
   "Oh I just almost died, but no biggie. So how many people have you cussed out already?" you asked teasingly as your friend began making batter, the egg in her hand made a crunching sound as she squeezed it from shock, the goo now all over her hand.
   "Damnit! Stupid egg, but wait seriously?! What happened?! And no, actually I've been helping out more customers than the two stupid pinheads up front, which is sad considering I'm in the back!" she said in a pissed tone. Looking at the orders you decided to start making one, trying to help out your stressed friend.
   "Well that's a surprise" you said in a sarcastic tone, "But to get the gist of it I pretty much almost got ran over, and some hot doctor guy happened to be there and saved me. He said I have a slight concussion, and oh- that's who did this" you continued, holding up your arm to her as you continued working while you talked. A feat you only managed to perfect your first year in opening up your business. Hearing the words hot guy your friend made an 'oohhh' noise, completely ignoring everything else that had left your mouth.
   "Well well well, looks like my little (nickname) has finally gotten herself a boy friend!" Your best friend said in a perverted way. At once your face turned pink, and you shot her a glare grabbing a few eggs.
   "He is not my boyfriend! We just met, that's all. And you better start hustling instead of daydreaming because I'm not gonna be here for long. I woke up early today so I could help you guys out, remember that and cherish it. The most I can stay is three hours, then I'm headin out" You stated as you whipped your batter. Your friend just gave a 'huff' in reply and turned to you.
   "I know, you have your 'doctors' appointment. Maybe you'll get lucky and it'll be your boyfriend" she said smugly. Turning to face her as well you gave her an un-amused look.
   "Ha-ha you're so funny-" you began sarcastically, but then you were interrupted by a shout, and the both of you turned toward the entrance of the kitchen to see a frazzled young man run in wearing an apron.
   "(Name)! Thank god you're here! The customers are getting edgy!" the short, black haired man said. With that he then ran back up front. Sagging against the counter you gave a sigh.
   "And why did I hire them again?" you said, not expecting an answer as you face-palmed. You looked up as your friend giggled.
   "Cause you told me they were just adorable when you interviewed them…" she said in a mocking tone as she gave you a smirk. With a disapprovingly look you headed for the door.
   "Oh yea… How could I forget…" you muttered in a dark tone.
~~~LALALALALA. HI.~~~

   Feeling better about work you whistled to yourself in your (fav car), trying to pass the time. Not really in the mood for the stereo you felt the need to make your own music. Waiting at a stoplight you looked out your window. The most interesting thing you saw was in the distance a new building being constructed. Living on the outskirts of the town there wasn't much to do. Your work may have been in the city but your life sure wasn't. The only reason you didn't live closer was that you were comfortable with your living space, other than your job you didn't have any reason to move. With the money you were making you could afford the long trips back and forth when it came to gas so you weren't too worried. Speaking of trips, as of right now you kept humming as you drove to your neighborhood clinic. You didn't see the point in having to go all the way into the city to the hospital when you can easily go to the convenient care by you.
   Driving along you smiled to yourself as you spotted train tracks. Seeing them brought back many childhood memories. With the way they were situated in the land they had valleys on either side of the road along each side of the tracks. You wondered why there was never a guard rail of some sort as your car bumped over the tracks, but you never questioned it. Instead as a kid the valleys would serve as a hideout of sorts for you and your friends, especially considering a bunch of greenery and trees had grown around and inside them.
   You smiled to yourself as they left your line of sight. All the memories flooding back to you had kept your mind preoccupied long enough for you to reach the clinic, which you spotted soon enough. 'Finally, I just want to get this done and over with, tomorrow will definitely be another busy day and my head still hurts' you thought, sighing as you remembered to get that checked out. Parking your car you made sure to lock it, putting your keys in the pockets to your uniform. You were always the pocket type of girl, not favoring having to lug around a purse everywhere with you that someone could just easily steal, and half the time not even matching your outfit. So walking in you checked in with the receptionist, who you noted had one heck of a smile today. Looking around you noticed that actually most staff seemed pretty cheerful. 'Probably some staff party or something…' you thought, waving it off, Instead you chose to look at a nearby (fav magazine), waiting to be called.

~~~PFFTTT- HELLO DER~~~
   "(First name), (Last name)?" you heard someone call. Looking up you smiled at the blond nurse who called you, and you watched her pony tail bob up and down as you followed her towards one of the back rooms. You nodded to her in thanks once she led you inside one of them, and found a seat on the examination table. "The doctor will be with you soon, ok?" the nurse stated from the doorway. You made a sound of acknowledgement and then she left the room, leaving you alone. Now with not much to do you sat there whistling to yourself, swinging your legs back and forth as you leaned back.
   You were never one to be nervous or afraid when it came to hospitals and the like, but for some odd reason today you found yourself feeling almost queasy. With a frown you thought to yourself, 'what could it be that's making me so anxious…?' Taking a deep breath you tried to calm yourself, leaning back you managed to be gentle as you lied your head down. In your mind you groaned, wondering how you could always have such luck to get into these types of accidents. As you were about to sit back up again you then heard the door open. Expecting your regular doctor a care-free smile spread across your face, but when you looked up your face paled as the smile was wiped from it. 'Now way…no..possible way' you thought speechless.
   "Oh, well hello again! Dude what an awesome surprise!" Alfred cheerfully said to you. You managed a shaky laughter in response.
   "Y-yeah, ah, I don't mean to be rude or anything but where's Mrs. Faris?" you asked in a quiet voice, actually wondering where your normal doctor was. Walking over and sitting in the swivel chair Alfred's mega-watt smile never left his face.
   "Oh yeah, I'm her replacement. She's on some month long vacation in Hawaii. We meant to send out memos but apparently the secretary never did it haha, that's another reason why we fired her… Anyway it's not too big of a deal right? You don't need or want-" he began to explain, but waving your hands you cut him off.
   "Oh no no no! I-It's fine! Really, it's okay" you said reassuring him. Even though deep down you were screaming for another doctor you're kind nature wouldn't let you. You didn't want to come off as rude, especially considering how nice this man has been to you. The doctor just smiled back and nodded, believing you.
   "Alrighty then I guess we can get this show on the road! But before we begin anything out of the norm you would like to tell me about?" Alfred asked as he walked over to you with his clipboard. You started to wring your hands in your lap.
   "Ahah, well, other than my accident earlier everything's fine. I'm not lethargic or anything and my vision is fine when it comes to the concussion you said I had" you said in a nervous tone. You hated how you began to act like a little girl in front of him. For some odd reason the way his eyes looked at you made you feel even more queasy, and your heart rate just wouldn't slow down ever since he walked into the room. But when his face gained a somewhat serious look at remembering your injuries you had to hold a breath or you knew you were going to swoon. 'What is wrong with me? I feel all tingly and everything! I'm not getting sick am I? Wait…' you began to think, starting to tune out Alfred as he talked to you about how even though the symptoms may be gone you should still be careful, but you didn't hear. Instead you were beginning to have a debate between your heart and your mind. 'There's no- I'm not even gonna go there! This is all just a coincidence, I'm never going to see him again, I will never see him that way, end of story' you thought trying to reprimand yourself. As he turned to put down his clipboard you nodded silently to yourself, looking up to him as he began speaking again.
   "Okay! Other than being careful with that concussion you're so far in tip-top shape, let's see how the rest of ya is doing!" Alfred shouted gleefully as he clapped his hands together. You had to suppress a smile as you realized many doctors did that, and yet you still had no reason for it. The smile slowly left your face as he then told you to lie down. You finally remembered what usually happens most of the time at physicals, and getting situated as you lied down a blush rose to your cheeks. Apparently Alfred didn't notice or he didn't care considering he was acting as if this was all normal. "Okay all you have to do is relax, but pull up the shirt for me please" The doctor said in a casual tone. Embarrassed you realized you forgot to take off your chef coat.
   "Oh sorry, hold on" you said a bit rushed as you sat up. You then quickly took it off, and somewhat rolling it up you threw it in the corner where you seat was. As Alfred waited checking out the rest of your documents he smirked noticing your aim. Lying back down you rolled up your tank top, and looking over you saw Alfred with the pen in his mouth as his hands were occupied with the papers in front of him. A feeling started to arise in your chest that made it feel tighter as you noticed it made him look extremely attractive. You already knew your heartbeat was out of control by the time he set them down and came over to you. "Kay, ya ready?" Alfred asked in an excited tone, not trusting your voice you nodded, and smiling his hands then started feeling your tummy, and he made sure to check around your stomach, and then he went to your sides. Oh no. Your eyes widened as you realized you forgot to mention you were extremely sensitive, or in other words so ticklish you might pee in your pants right-
   "Pfftt-AHAHAHHA! NAYYHA!" you yelled out. Unfortunately Alfred hit the worst spot on you, making you squirm and spazz, almost falling off the table if he hadn't caught you. With an amused glint in his eyes he straightened you back out on the table as he saw you bury your scarlet face in your hands, trying to contain your giggles.
   "Oh wow, somebody's ticklish! You shoulda told me and I would have been more gentle, ya silly goose!" Alfred said chuckling a bit. Seeing you still distressed from your own embarrassment he chuckled again, knowing just what to say. "At least your reaction wasn't as bad as a teenage boy I got once, he spasmed so bad he slapped me in the face and knocked himself out falling head first into the wall! Talk about embarrassment…" The doctor trailed off, finishing up checking you. He then became happy seeing you peek out from under your fingers.
   "R-Really?" you said, trying extremely hard not to laugh. You had to admit, who could knock themselves out?!
   "Yup! I couldn't tell if his parents were more pissed or worried. Haha, that was a good day…" Alfred trailed off, pretending to have a thoughtful looking face. You on the other hand burst out laughing, sitting up as Alfred went back over to your documents and sat down. "Well, looks like your all good! I'll go get the nurse to check ya' out" Alfred said as he started to head for the door. Another feeling started to drive away the happiness you had experienced, almost making you feel forlorn. You shook the thoughts out of your head as you plopped down from the examination table, padding toward your chef coat. "Oh, by the way, I love your tank-top! It looks awesome on you" the doctor said in the doorway, making you look up with a bewildered expression. He didn't give you time to reply back, so instead you made a noise in protest seeing him go, but then you pouted in a cute manner, crossing your arms. 'What is he trying to do?! Give me a heart attack!? Stupid mixed signals' you thought annoyed as you buttoned up your pure white coat. Since the sleeves happened to roll down you noticed something red on the side. You immediately groaned in distress.
   "I knew it!" you shouted in fury. Of course. You had gotten blood all over your sleeve. 'Oh well', you thought, 'At least it's white so I can bleach it…' you continued, frowning at the stain. Glancing up at the door you sighed. Waiting for the nurse to come you pondered how it was such a coincidence you had seen Alfred again, and the feelings that came along with it.
~~~LOLOLOL NOT DONE YET~~~

   "Thank you! Come again!" you shouted as your last customer walked out the door. You then sighed in relief. "Finally, were officially closed for the night people!" you yelled joyfully behind you towards the rest of your co-workers. You smiled shaking your head as you heard a few shouts of glee. It was just a few days, maybe even a week, after your appointment and so far everything had gone extremely well. Your scrape healed up and you didn't even know you had a concussion, but you of course still refrained from any activity that would irritate it.
   In the corner of your eye you watched one of the young men you hired turn the sign around on the front door saying you guys were closed, along with locking the door. At the counter you just wiped it off, leaving a nice bright shine in the darkening room. It of course was night out, and as you looked up you noticed it had begun to rain. You frowned a bit since you never heard about any bad weather on the news. Seeing the last of the lights turn off you headed back towards the illuminated kitchen where everyone was getting ready to head home. "All of you be careful when you go home tonight, looks like a storm had found us" you said as you got a coat you had brought to work. The midnight black coat contrasted nicely with your uniform.
   "I think were fine, (Name)" said your best friend, "A little rain never hurt anybody" she continued. You just rolled your eyes at her.
   "Oh yeah, that's why accidents tend to occur more when the roads slippery" you said in a comical tone. Everyone just groaned at your conversation.
   "Well whatever boss, were headin out, shops closed" said one of the men you hired, and with a nod you watched him and the other man leave, since they carpooled to work together. When they left you turned to your friend.
   "I'll see you on Monday?" you asked her as you went to the door first, her following you with a smirk.
   "I'll see you on Monday" she replied back. Hearing her you opened the door and frowned at the severe downpour. Thinking about the drive home again the anxiety came back.
   "Seriously though, be safe tonight, Amy. You and me both know you have the longest drive home. In this weather you'll take an hour or more to get home" you said, your tone laced with worry. Your best friend sighed at your behavior.
   "I know (Name), if it makes you feel better I'll call you when I get there, okay?" she said trying to console you. You nodded in reply, somewhat relieved. You smiled at Amy as you walked out the door in the storm.
   "Night, bestie!" you said as she walked past you into her car as you locked the door. She just waved back in reply, and as she turned on her car you got into yours. You watched as her bright head lights paved the way for her out of the dark parking lot and into the streets. When you couldn't see her anymore you shook your head as if the worry would just roll off, and headed out of the parking lot as well.

~~~ENGLISH PAID OFF PEOPLE.~~~
   At home you finally had a chance to relax since you didn't have to work on weekends, and it was Friday. When you got home, since you were alone, you decided to change into your pajamas. So now you adorned the tank-top you wore under your coat for work and a pair of short-shorts. But never giving yourself a break though, you decided to work on the company website. So here you were; the only other thing giving off light in your dark apartment other than your monitor was your desk lamp. You looked at the clock and realized it had been an hour since you had left the Bakery. It may have taken you a half hour to get home, but you just noticed you had only been online for a half hour. You thought that was great timing considering you were almost done with the website.
   At the moment you were just waiting for the changes to finish downloading, which was taking a while. You yawned as you leaned back in your desk chair, the cushions becoming squished under your weight. With your body spread out you had begun to feel cold in your somewhat skimpy outfit. A tight feeling had bloomed across your chest as your mind wandered. 'I wonder what it would be like if I could cuddle someone when I was cold like this, to at night never have to always climb in a cold bed' you thought depressingly leaning your head back, looking at your blank white ceiling. Not wanting to get into such depressing topics you decided to just listen to the silence in your flat. You could feel your eye lids starting to droop, but you did nothing. 'I'll just rest my eyes while I wait…' you told yourself. Of course that didn't happen. As you slowly fell under the spell of sleep you couldn't help but notice a nagging feeling in the back of your mind, but being so tired you forgot about it, going unconscious.
~~~THIS TIME SKIP IS NAMED BOB. GOODBYE~~~

   With a jolt you woke up, the ringing from your cell phone startling your sleep. Looking around you rubbed your eyes, and noticing the computer screen you groaned. Right as you clicked done your phone blared again, making you jump in your seat. Never being a morning person you grumbled as you grasped the electronic device. When you put the phone to your ear though you noticed that it wasn't morning, and instead it was still dark. Wondering what was going on you got up and headed toward your living room, where your clock was.
   "Hello?" you answered in a tired, raspy voice, considering you just woke up. You stumbled over something in the dark, and finally reaching your clock you squinted your eyes as the clock flashed a bright light as you hit a button on it. Seeing the time a shocked look came upon your features. 'three o' clock?! What? That means I was only asleep for… barely four hours!' you thought surprised. It felt like much more than that. With all the stress you've been under lately insomnia has made you his prisoner, so you had rarely gotten a good night's sleep. To not keep your co-workers worried you just put make up on to cover the bags. You knew if you tried things to keep yourself less worried all the time it would probably go away, but half the time you were asleep or working so you never really thought about it. You were pulled from your thoughts as a monotone voice filled your ears.
   "Is this (first name) (last name)?" a woman said. Still confused you confirmed her doubts, wondering what this was about.
   "Your friend, Amy Vita, had gotten into an accident last night. Early this morning we managed to find her when someone drove past and spotted her car turned over in a ditch, she's at the hospital now-" was the only and last thing you heard from the woman before the phone dropped from your hand. Immediately fear and adrenaline coursed through your body, jolting you awake. Your body had froze in shock and your mind buzzed with thoughts, but the one thing you could make out clearly were a few words.

Amy.
Accident.
Hospital.

   Trying to contain your emotions you sprinted into your bedroom. Not caring what you grabbed you ripped open your dresser drawer, grabbing what looked like a pair of sweat pants in the dark, and fumbling to put them on you hopped into the bathroom. Taking a second to look into the mirror you deemed your hair decent and sprinted again to the front door, you didn't dare think of putting on makeup you washed off earlier as you shoved your shoes on. Grabbing your wallet, keys and phone you put on your jacket on one arm as you slammed your front door behind you, not caring if it was locked or not. The only thing that mattered right now was your friend, who you needed to get to no matter what. 'You better not die on me…' you thought sadly as you practically jumped down the stairs, bolting through the complex's front door.
   Hurdling into your car you shoved your key into the ignition and with the screech of your tires you high-tailed it down the street. It wasn't until you started driving did you realize it was still raining cats and dogs, and you had to tell yourself to slow down. 'Calm down (Name), you might get into an accident as well and that wouldn't help the situation at all' you thought to yourself. With the news starting to really sink in your hands trembled on the wheel, and you would have began to hyperventilate if you hadn't begun to take deep breathes.
   You were always the one who could handle anything, whether it be a tsunami or a paper-cut nothing could stop you. But this was different. You best friend, the person you had known almost your whole LIFE may never be there anymore. All you had pretty much was each-other. Her family was all in different states, and her parents had died years ago in a fire. You shuddered as you remembered that day. Not only were her parents in the fire, but so were yours. You couldn't let someone so close to you die again; you refused to let it happen. So with that a determined look came upon you, and breaking most speed limits you drove on.

~~~BAD READER-CHAN. BAD. BREAKING SPEED LIMITS IS BAD.~~~
   Looking like a mad woman you dashed into the hospital, asking a now frightened nurse where Amy was located. Telling you she was in the ICU you made a mad dash there. Noticing you probably looked like a mess since everyone you passed gave you strange looks you slowed your pace a bit as you neared the area, trying to fix yourself. When you spotted the desk you rushed over, barely dodging a staff nurse.
   "Am I able to visit Amy Vita?" you practically yelled out, panting as you were out of breath from running. Going on the computer to do what you assumed was check, the black haired lady who looked about your age then looked up with a sympathetic face.
   "I'm sorry hun, but she apparently just got in here, we've got barely any info on her, but the doctors are working on her right now" she said giving you a shrug. Your pants dying down, you nodded, but still weren't satisfied.
   "I understand, but do you know if she's okay? Did you get any look at her? Anything at all?" you said in an almost desperate tone. Sighing the nurse ran a hand through her hair, knowing you weren't going to leave her alone until you got something. So she turned to you with tired eyes.
   "The only thing I know was that her car collided with a semi truck, T-boning her. When we got her in from what I saw she had broken ribs, and from what the doctors were screaming she may have spinal injuries. But what I don't know is if she's okay or not. I don't want to worry you, but she didn't look in very good shape when they wheeled her by. I'm sorry" the nurse said, and then informed you of where the waiting room was. You numbly nodded, trying to process the information. When a medical officer says sorry, they're pretty much saying someone died. If it weren't for your body going into shock as you made your way into the waiting room, you would have died right there too. Not feeling anything you just slid down the wall, curling your body against itself, burying your face in your knees.
   You just sat there, careless to the world around you. The only thing going through our trembling body was worry for your friend. Amy was the only thing you could think of. As you sat there in the silence of your isolation the memories you shared with each-other began to resurface. From when you were toddlers until now they replayed themselves before your eyes. Thinking of the past you couldn't tell if it was minutes or hours that you sat there. You tried to lock yourself out of reality as best as you could by going to sleep, but your eyes refused to rest. Your anxieties made the insomnia come back with a vengeance. You just couldn't stop trembling. You had no idea how long you sat there, but when you felt a hand on your shoulder you noticed your body was aching. Brought back to reality your eyes shot open, not used to the lights as you raised your head from the dark cocoon you created you blinked a bit as you looked up.
   Of fucking course. With mixed emotions running through your eyes you looked up into the cerulean eyes of the doctor you had last seen a week ago. You noticed his eyes widened in seeing you, but watching as he really took in your form was what made his face turn into one of shock. Apparently you had been sitting there for longer than you thought.
   "(Name)…?" Alfred trailed off looking down at you. At the moment you couldn't care what you looked like or what he thought of you, you could only care about Amy. "Hey, you ok?" the doctor asked, worry laced in his tone. That's when you forgot you weren't wearing makeup. Realizing he probably noticed your bags he knew you hadn't been sleeping, so you nodded.
   "Y-yes, I-I'm fine. But w-where is she? Is she okay?" you asked in a timid voice, your tone wavering a bit. Knowing what you were talking about Alfred couldn't meet your gaze for a second, but then looked at you, straight in the eyes.
   "I…I think you would be more comfortable in one of the seats" Alfred said, and knowing his personality you knew whatever news he had was not good. Always taking things head on you stood up and gave him the most intimidating look you could muster at the moment.
   "Alfred. Tell me." You said in a stern tone. As you watched him you knew he had become uncomfortable, as if he wasn't used to saying the words he was about to utter. Your breath hitched in your throat.
   "(Name), she's had brain damage. The swelling hasn't gone down, and we're trying to keep her stable, but even with all were doing there isn't a guarantee she will make it. If she did though she won't be the same Amy you know anymore… (Name), I'm so sorry I…. (Name)?" Alfred began in a sorrowful tone, but at the end of his dreadful news he noticed you hadn't said or done anything, and as he looked at you he noticed you just stared ahead, frozen to the spot. He frowned in worry. You on the other hand saw nothing, heard nothing, felt nothing. The world was dead to you. Hearing your friend might not make it, that she had Brain damage, squashed any hope you had. Your shoulders quivered as a sob wracked your body, your hand painfully grabbing your chest as your knees failed you.
   You couldn't breathe. With everything going on your body began to malfunction. The stress and anxiety finally caught up to you. You could dully realize Alfred yelling for someone as he hovered over you, your head resting in his hand. As you lied there, the world becoming a bunch of blurs and noise you assumed you had fallen, and the doctor caught you. You couldn't move, the only thing your body was doing was spazzing, almost as if you were having a seizure. You felt like a fish out of water, gasping for air, becoming scared at not being able to breathe. You were having a panic attack. The natural way your body deals with this amount of stress. Your stomach felt like it was going to rip apart at the cramps you were receiving. You felt like you were going to die as your world started fading to black. The last thing you saw before you saw nothing, was a pair of distressed cobalt eyes looking into yours.
